Program Description
The ICM Tennis Coach Assistant Pathway is an internal educational and development program designed to train future Tennis Assistant Coaches under the ICM Tennis methodology.
This pathway provides structured technical, on-court, and communication training suitable for youth (16+) and adults who are interested in coaching development within the ICM Tennis environment.
Program Structure
The pathway consists of three progressive levels:
Bronze
Foundation skills: safety, basic instruction, on-court support, and communication fundamentals.
Silver
Development: stronger technical delivery, improved drills, and better group management support.
Gold
Readiness: advanced support, leadership habits, safety consistency, and coaching assistant preparedness.

Eligibility & Age Requirement
- Minimum age: 16+
- Open to youth and adults with interest in tennis coaching
- No prior certification required
- Participants must be physically and mentally capable of attending active sport sessions
Attendance Policy
- Attendance is mandatory to maintain skill development and safety standards.
- Maximum allowed absences per level: 10 sessions over 6 months.
- Absences do not grant refunds, credit, or rescheduling.
- If a participant exceeds the absence limit, they will not be eligible for the final assessment or certification for that level.
Assessments & Certification
At the end of each level, participants must:
- Complete a written and/or on-court assessment
- Demonstrate competency in communication, safety, and tennis instruction
- Pass with a satisfactory evaluation from ICM Tennis staff
(Level Bronze / Silver / Gold)
Important Certification Disclaimer
The certificate:
- Is valid only within ICM Tennis programs
- Is not recognized as a government-certified coaching license
- Is not transferable to other clubs or organizations
- Does not grant the right to independently coach under the ICM Tennis brand
This certification is internal, designed for participation in the ICM Tennis volunteer & assistant coach system only.
Placement & Hiring Consideration
After completing the Gold Level, participants may be:
- Added to the Assistant Coach Waiting List, and
- Considered for volunteer or paid positions only based on ICM Tennis staffing needs, performance, availability, and internal evaluations.
Completion of the program does not guarantee employment.
Program Tuition & Financial Policy
Tuition
Payment Policy
- Tuition must be paid in full at registration
- No installment plans are available
- No refunds under any circumstances
- No transfers to other terms, programs, or individuals
Make-Up Classes
ICM Tennis does not provide make-up classes for participant absences.
Make-up or rescheduling occurs only when sessions are canceled by ICM Tennis.
Safety & Liability Waiver
All participants (or parents/guardians for minors) must sign a Liability Release & Assumption of Risk Agreement, acknowledging that:
- Tennis is a physical activity that carries inherent risks
- ICM Tennis, its coaches, staff, owners, and affiliates are not liable for injuries, emotional stress, or incidents
- Participants voluntarily assume all risk associated with physical activity
Behavior & Conduct
Participants are required to:
- Follow professional and respectful conduct
- Follow coach and staff instructions
- Uphold safety standards at all times
Failure to comply may result in dismissal without refund.
Program Purpose & Legal Clarifications
This program is intended solely for:
- Internal education
- Skill development
- Volunteer pathway training
- Assistant coach preparation within ICM Tennis
It is not:
- A government-regulated certification
- A replacement for national coaching licenses
- A transferable qualification to other clubs or agencies
